Lughnasadh Incense Recipe

  • 2 parts Frankincense
  • 1 part Heather
  • 1 part Apple blossoms
  • 1 pinch Blackberry leaves
  • a few drops Ambergris oil

Lughnassadh Oil Recipe


5 drops frankincense
5 drops rose
5 drops yarrow

Add a piece of wheat and a blackberry leaf with a cat’s-eye, citrine, and moss agate crystals. Very soothing

Lammas Ritual Potpourri Recipe

20 drops clove bud oil
25 drops sandalwood oil
1 cup oak moss
2 cups dried pink rosebuds
2 cups dried red peony petals
1 cup dried amaranth flowers
1 cup dried heather flowers or 1/2 cup dried cornflowers

Mix the clove bud and sandalwood oils with the oak moss and then add the remaining ingredients. Stir the potpourri well and store in a tightly covered ceramic or glass container.

Lugh Oil

1 small piece of gold leaf (found in craft stores)
1 dram heliotrope oil
1 dram sunflower oil
1 small citrine stone

Combine all ingredients, except for the gold leaf, in a small enamel sauce pot and warm gently over low heat.

Place the gold leaf in a pretty magic bottle and add the oils.

Let it cool before capping the bottle.

This oil can be used in Lughnasadh rituals or anytime you wish to invoke Lugh or the Element of Fire.

Cerridwen Oil

1 dram hazelnut oil
1 dram fir oil
1 dram elder oil

Combine all ingredients in a small enamel sauce pot and warm gently over low heat.

Cool and place in a magic bottle, capping tightly.

This oil can be used anytime you wish to summon Cerridwen‘s strength and knowledges.
