Basic Meditation Tips for Astral Projection

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the reality that we experience every day? Have you ever wished you could travel to the astral plane? Some nights while we are deeply asleep, our soul leaves the body and travels into the astral plane. Sometimes we wake up with a memory of the experience, other times we don’t.

Astral projection occurs when the individual’s soul leaves the physical body temporarily. The ability to astral project is in everyone. To trigger it, you must learn how to relax your body completely, shift your consciousness point outside your body, and maintain your psychic energy during the process. While meditating, you will see your astral form as it exits your physical body. Astral travel expands your consciousness and helps you to verify the existence of the soul. Through this experience, you can learn about past lives and enhance your daily life. Some people find projecting easier than others.

Meditation and Astral Projection

Meditation is a very useful tool needed for astral projection. It is used to gain control and relax your body and mind to the point that they can be separated easily.

Basic Meditation Tips for Astral Projection

Choose a suitable location

As a beginner, all meditations should be performed in a place where you won’t be disturbed. Turn off your phones, television, and keep the pets away. Decorate the room with the appropriate colors. Dim the lights but ensure that the room isn’t too dark. You can use moon candles to make your room feel warm and special.

Music can get you into a deep meditative state. It can also help in drowning any noise from the environment. Play any music that uplifts your soul.

Choose a comfortable position:

Some persons prefer lying down. If you are lying down, you could doze off quickly, so I would suggest that you sit with your legs crossed.

The Meditation Process

Close your eyes and begin to relax every part of your body. Start from your feet and move upward to your calves, thighs, hips, abdomen, hands, arms, shoulders, neck, and face.

Visualize as the tension drains away from every part of your body. You should feel a tingling sensation moving through your body.

Take a deep breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. This would make you feel more relaxed.

Enter into a state of trance where you can no longer feel your body. When you are fully relaxed, start the visualization process.

The following visualizations can be used for astral projection.

Example one:

  • Visualize your astral body being held by your seven chakras inside your physical body.
  • The chakras should be visualized as colored knobs spinning around.
  • Take each of the spinning chakras and stop it.
  • Turn it to a reverse direction, and when you have stopped all the spinning chakras, relax and try to exit.

Example two:

  • Sit or lie in a comfortable position.
  • Enter into a deep state of relaxation where you feel like you are floating.
  • Lift your left astral arm up. Also, lift your right astral arm and touch your face.
  • Touch your astral hands together.
  • Do the same thing with each leg and foot.
  • Visualize your entire body floating above your physical body and moving around the room.
  • Focus on that for a while.

Returning to the Physical Body

Returning to the physical body is actually very easy. All you have to do is to think about it. You would return to your consciousness once you can feel your physical body. You can listen to the sounds around you, feel the chair you are seated on, become aware of your heartbeat, or do anything that would drag your attention to the physical.

Open your eyes slowly and sit quietly for a few minutes. You can write down your astral experience in your journal.

Common Problems Encountered During Astral Projection

Poor Visualization

Visualization can be a big hurdle for people when they are learning how to project. Such individuals find it challenging to visualize a scenario and hold on to it for a longer time without their thoughts straying away. Sometimes, they complain about not seeing anything.

To train your visualization ability, you can perform the following exercise repeatedly.

Visualize yourself in a comfortable and serene location; a beach, a bank of a river, a cave, a forest, or wherever that feels right to you. Observe the environment, the wind blowing in the treetops, the rushing water, the rustle of animals, etc. Feel the air on your body. Stay in this safe place for as long as you wish.

Fear

The reason why most people don’t attempt an astral projection is because they fear that there is something evil waiting for them over there. Such fear can only be overcome with courage. I have projected severally, and in all those times, I have never been attacked. Your astral body has an excellent defense mechanism that responds instantly to the slightest intrusion. It can pull you back into your physical body in a second if a threat is detected. In addition, you can call upon your favorite deities for protection.

Conclusion

After every meditation session, you would probably feel drained and exhausted. Get something to eat or drink. As a beginner, I would suggest that you start out by meditating for about 10 minutes. Allow your mind to get accustomed to relaxing and focusing before increasing your meditation time.

If you fail after some initial trials, don’t give up. Remember that nothing good comes easily, so keep trying until you have mastered the process. You can also check out Robert Bruce’s and Robert Monroe’s meditation tips.

Finally, look for an experienced medium to guide you until you are able to project on your own.
