LITHOMANCY: THE ART OF DIVINING WITH STONES AND CRYSTALS

Lithomancy is an act of divining with stones, crystals and gemstones. This act of divination is said to have started in the Middle East. This hypothesis is based on the evidence found by an archaeologist from Cornell University in 2015 and through this research, they found three sanctuaries, one of them dedicated to lithomancy.

According to the researcher, Adam T. Smith, during excavations they found polished stones in colors ranging from black and dark gray to red, green and white. Probably, they were used in religiously charged sanctuaries, designed and built to be the headquarters of esoteric rituals with objects consecrated by a fortune-teller.

HOW TO PERFORM LITHOMANCY

DIVINATION WITH FIFTY STONES:

It is said that divining with 50 stones is very ideal. You can put 50 stones in a bag then after thinking about your question, put your hand into the bag and take a handful of stones. If the number is odd, the answer is positive and if the number is even, the answer will be negative.

LITHOMANCY WITH NINE STONES

For this you need to associate each of the stones with:

Earth (symbolize material goods and possessions),

Moon (symbolize your emotions),

Sun (symbolizes success),

Mercury, (symbolizes your relationship with the environment),

Venus (symbolizes love),

Mars (symbolizes dynamism, movement),

Jupiter (symbolizes the need to turn the page),

Saturn (symbolizes obstacles) and the

Ninth stone to signify the value of X.

Now ask your question and take out three stones and read them to get your answer.

DIVINATION BY THE COLOR OF THE STONES

You will need seven stones of different colors of approximately the same size and shape. Put them into sackcloth and after making an inquiry take out one stone randomly. The interpretation is based on the color of the stone picked. The following are some of the meanings associated with the colors:

Yellow: Yellow tourmaline, yellow topaz or fluorite. It means protection, communication, travel, movement and exchange.
